We have recently opened Lazuli Retreat

Nestled in the tranquil bushland of Hepburn, our thoughtfully designed small home (not a small as a tiny home but not as big as home… a small home) is a peaceful sanctuary created with deep care for both personal wellbeing and the natural world. Built using as many natural materials as we could and guided by low-tox principles, this intimate retreat offers a restorative escape that feels grounded, nourishing and beautifully simple.

Surrounded by beautiful Central Highlands Victorian bush, the space invites you to slow down and reconnect, with nature, with stillness and with yourself. A gorgeous yoga studio is onsite offering public and private classes, also available is an outdoor bath offering moments of deep relaxation beneath open skies swell as a traditional barrel steam sauna.

Sustainability is not an after thought here it’s foundational. The home runs on rainwater and has been consciously designed to minimise environmental impact. Natural finishes, carefully selected materials and low-tox products create a clean, healthy indoor environment that supports true rest. Every detail reflects a commitment to simplicity, mindfulness and living lightly.

Inside, the small home is cozy yet beautifully proportioned. A separate bedroom with a queen-size bed offers a restful, private space to retreat. The compact kitchen is fully equipped for preparing simple, nourishing meals, while the thoughtfully designed bathroom and inviting lounge area (complete with a comfortable Eva pull-out sofa) ensures comfort without excess.

Ideal for solo travellers or couples and equally suited to close friends or those with children, this retreat provides everything you need and nothing you don’t. It’s a space where sustainability meets comfort, and where less truly becomes more.

Things to note

-The accommodation is 100m walk on a uneven track from parking
-The accommodation is on the same property as our home but you are in a gorgeous secluded spot.
-Fan cooling and wall panel heating
-1 sauna use is included in your stay, if you would like multiple sessions there is an additional cost
-No wifi or television….enabling complete serenity and a break from tech! however we do have mobile range so you won’t be completely disconnected.
- Approximately 6kms from Daylesford and 1.6kms from Hepburn shops, great coffee and shopping are not far..
-Many bush walks around property, we back onto Hepburn regional park. Walking distance to Blow Hole for a short walk.
-We are on tank water please be mindful of this when using water
-Septic system-just means we need to not flush anything other than toilet paper

Bedroom
This a separate building a few steps across the deck, the room is 3m x 3m inline with being a small home
The solid wood bed frame has two drawers for your belongings, wall hooks to hang things and space for small cases to slide under.

Compact kitchen but everything you need..
